Articulated Truck

A new attempt to create a eccentric truck. Features drive and steering on the superstructure, not on the axle, which consequently simplifies the construction.

This moc was designed to improve a new way of building : steering on the superstructure, not on the axles. That is why the two axles are rigid and connected to the frame. The truck hasn’t steering wheel hubs, so I could put locking differential on each axle (thanks to the available space). The drivetrain is very strong because there aren’t bevel gear in the steering axles. The superstructure is composed of a turntable and a classic rotating axle, each axle can move in 3 degrees of liberty. A M motor operates the steering and a XL provides the power for drive (and fake engine). The clearing abilities are very good, the lost power and the weight are smaller than a normal drivetrain with steering. But the battery is placed too much on top that causes a bad stability on banking. In any case, the drivetrain is a successful system.

Not realy, as the suspensions aren’t pendular, le center of gravity is fixed by the position of the cab, and the more it is high, the less the truck is stable.

There aren’t available building instructions for this truck. If building instructions doesn’t appear on my webiste, I d’ont have them. Regards

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease can you send the building instructions to me at l.leno@sky.com or tell me where i can find them.i am 10 years old and i am your biggest fan pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.thankyou.
